1968 Mexico 25 Pesos Silver Coin

 Here we'll take a look at a Mexico 1968 25 Pesos silver coin.  


72 percent silver Mexican 25 Pesos

On the obverse or front side seen in the picture above we see an native dancing with the Olympic rings below.  This 72 percent silver coin celebrates the Summer Olympics which were held in Mexico City in October of 1968.  A Latin American country had not previously hosted the games.  Bob Beamon set a record long jumping 8.9 meters or 29.2 feet and George Forman win gold in boxing and not long after goes pro.
